Switch or pause a language
Open Languages, choose a language, and tap Make current. When you switch from another language, Vocapi asks whether to pause its reviews or keep both running.
Pause or keep both running?
Link to “Pause or keep both running?”Pause stops the outgoing language’s review schedule. Your progress and review history stay saved. When you resume, review dates move forward by the time the language was paused, so the break does not add a backlog.
Keep both running leaves the outgoing language’s reviews on their existing schedule. Cards can become due while you study your current language.
To pause a language without switching, open its page in Languages and choose Pause. Choose Resume reviews when you want to return to it.
Why do I need to sync first?
Link to “Why do I need to sync first?”Saved review answers need to sync before a pause can take effect. If Vocapi shows answers still waiting, reconnect and use Retry. See Offline reviews and sync if they remain unsynced.
Is a paused language the same as a locked course?
Link to “Is a paused language the same as a locked course?”A pause is a choice you can reverse. A course that needs subscription access follows your plan’s access rules. The language page shows the available action.
If paid access is missing after a purchase, see Restore a purchase.
